EGR in the Community

We support local charities and are delighted to have partnered with Special Families East Grinstead.   Special Families are a support group for parent-carers with disabled children from East Grinstead and surrounding areas. They are non profit organisation with a small charity constitution in place. They offer activities, support, courses and information for the whole family.  https://www.specialfamilieseg.org/

We like to support our community by getting involved in local events and taking part in activities to support good causes in the town. A number of our club members have participated in "plogging" where we do a litter pick to clean up the local area. We also annually run to and attend the remembrance service at the Airmen's grave each November to lay a wreath and donate to the poppy fund.

As a club we are also passionate about mental health so we collect money for the charity MIND twice a year to help support all the brilliant work they do to make sure no one has to face a mental health problem alone. We try to also assist this by providing Mental Health runs on a few occasions throughout the year with a free and open invite for anyone to come to ‘run and talk’.

We are always happy to support local causes so if you have a project or event you are working on and would like to speak to us about ways we can help, please just drop us a line at: Media@eastgrinsteadrunners.co.uk.
